Perfect Touch Lip Blush – My Favorite Service!

Lip Blushing Temecula Murrieta Menifee

Did you know that your lips are fuller than they appear?! Lip thinning is a well known side affect of aging, but color loss can make an even bigger impact on our appearance! While wearing lipstick can solve this problem, it can be time consuming, messy, and just isn’t practical for activities like working out, swimming, wearing masks, or hot Temecula Valley summers. That’s where Perfect Touch Lip Blushing comes in!

Gone are the days of the opaque, chalky looking lip tattoos of the 80’s and 90’s! With new advances in techniques and pigments, you can now have sheer, gorgeous lip color that looks so natural no one will know its not your natural lip color!

What is Perfect Touch Lip Blushing?

Perfect Touch Lip Blush is a form of permanent makeup that enhances your natural lip color, helps balance the shape of your lips, and gives more definition to your lip line – creating the illusion of fuller, healthier lips. While filler is great for creating more volume in our lips, Perfect Touch Lip Blush replaces the COLOR so many of us are missing – making it a great alternative OR addition to fillers like Juvéderm or Kysse.

How is it done?

Like Effortless Brows and Eye Define Lash Enhancement, Perfect Touch Lip Blush uses a very gentle type of tattoo machine to implant pigment into the top layers of the dermis. Using top of the line pigments to guarantee beautiful, natural, long lasting results.

What is the difference between lipstick tattooing and lip blush?

Before the evolution of lip blushing, traditional tattoo machines and low quality pigments were embedded deep into the skin, leaving harsh colors and very unnatural looking results that would age poorly. Perfect Touch Lip Blush delivers far superior results with less pain and very little to no downtime.

Does it hurt?

When you think of a tattoo on your lips, your first thought is probably “OUCH!”. And with good reason, most lipstick tattoos are very painful. Perfect Touch Lip Blush, however, is SO gentle most of our clients say there is very little to no discomfort. Our Gentle Touch Technique provides numbing before and during your service and ensures your comfort throughout. For clients worried about pain tolerance, or those with difficulty numbing, a pain reliever like Tylenol can be used prior to your appointment. Please avoid Aspirin or Ibuprofen as they can thin the blood and cause more sensitivity and bruising.

How long does it last?

Like other permanent cosmetic services, results will vary from person to person. In general Perfect Touch Lip Blush will last several years. However, your lifestyle will determine the longevity of your lip blush (smoking and sun exposure, those who are oil-prone, have an iron deficiency or use a lot of exfoliating products in their skin regimen will see results fade sooner).

For most clients we recommend a yearly refresh appointment to keep your color looking its best, however, some clients opt to return two, three, or even four years later.

What to expect at your appointment?

Before we begin, we answer and and all questions you may have. Then we outline your natural lip line, fixing any mild to moderate symmetry concerns. We then discuss and custom mix your perfect lip color. I always recommend clients bring in their favorite shade of lipstick or gloss so we can mimic it for our target color/tone. Once completely satisfied with your new shape and color, a topical numbing cream is applied to your lips for about 20 minutes before starting the actual lip blush tattoo process.

Most Perfect Touch Lip Blush appointments take 3-4 hours, with tattoo time running about half the session.

What is aftercare?

For the first 24 hours, keep your lips very clean with a damp cotton round and wash well with plain soap and water morning and night. This is to prevent any lymph fluid from drying on the lips and creating scabs.

Day 2 apply a topical ointment provided in your complimentary aftercare kit using a clean q-tip as needed throughout the day. Continue applying this ointment as needed until peeling is done.

Day 3-5 you will begin the peeling process. During this time your lips will start to heavily peel and you may want to keep this in mind when scheduling your appointment around important events.

It is imperative that you do not pick or peel at your lips and let the skin fall off naturally during this time. Any skin removed prematurely can result in scarring or color loss in that area.

Please avoid sun exposure and strenuous workouts during the healing phase. If you plan on getting lip injections, please do so a minimum of four weeks before or four weeks after.

What is the lip blush healing process?

Once your service is complete, you may have some mild to moderate swelling – those with sensitive lips or lip filler may see more swelling than others. In very rare cases you may have a bit of bruising. Ice packs will be provided in your complimentary after care kit to help and will resolve in a few hours.

At first your lip color will be very vibrant, this will NOT be your results once healed. Expect your initial color to reduce and soften by about 30-50 percent and blend naturally with your lip line once healed. The peeling phase typically lasts five to seven days and after six to eight weeks you will see the final, fully healed color.

Perfecting appointments are recommended around six weeks to make any final adjustments, although they are not mandatory.

What should you do before your appointment?

Three days prior to your appointment you may use a gently lip scrub (honey mixed with sugar is great) to remove dead skin. For at least seven days prior to your appointment you must moisturize your lips as much as possible.

Clients with ANY history of Herpes/coldsores are highly recommended to obtain an anti-viral medication (Zovirax, Valtrex, or Acyclylovir) prior to service in the event of an outbreak – consult with your doctor.
